Romy was a great asset to the project, throwing herself in to a completely new situation during a rather unprecedented time. Take a tour around our 2020 Vision virtual gallery space.ĭuring this project we had the pleasure of working with our shadow artist Romy Ashmore-Hills. The group have curated their work to be presented to the world via a virtual gallery experience and a print/digital zine. The work that was produced is a mix of spoken word, film & photography, music & sound, sculptures, crafts and visual arts.

Some things worked, some things didn’t but they were always willing to try, explore and learn from the experience. The young people rose to the challenge of juggling a serious health crisis alongside the already challenging nature of being a young person in the modern world and committed to producing some new and exciting art. For 2019, I had goals for how many new films I wanted to watch and how many. The pandemic presented a completely unique situation in which to deliver an arts project, something that is usually very hands-on and personal. Im just in the process of writing my goals for 2020 and its titled 2020 Vision What are you wanting to achieve by the end of 2020 These arent resolutions as such they are more like targets you want to aim towards. Sessions were delivered in small socially distant groups in Bromford, when possible, and online via ZOOM, a new and often challenging experience for many. This meant that we had to find new ways of working, new ways of connecting and new ways of sharing how we thought about the world around us.
